Schedule 當名詞使用時，意思是預計在某個時間點要完成的活動，中文會翻成「計劃表」、「進度表」，也可用來單純翻成「行程」兩個字，像是中文裡常說「配合你的行程」、「確認行程」、「行程很滿」等都可以用 schedule 表達。另外，課程表 (class schedule) 、公車時刻表 (bus schedule) 也會使用這個字。

Schedule 也常已被動用法出現，意思是「某件事預計會...」或是 「某人原本預定要...」，這種時候英文的慣用用法為 be scheduled to ，後面接動詞原型，或是 be scheduled for，後面通常會接某個時間或日期，一樣是用來表達「在某段時間預計做某件事」。這兩種用法經常出現在會議、活動，或是飛機航班。
