Notice 當動詞的意思是「注意」，當名詞的時候意思是「通知」，當我們要辭掉工作之前，最好的做法是「提前兩個禮拜通知你的雇主 」，用英文可以這樣說：to provide/give two weeks' notice。​

You should give at least two weeks' notice before you leave your job. 

退去する少なくとも 2 週間前に (雇用主に) 通知する必要があります。

Employers usually like some notice before an employee quits, but this is not required.  

雇用主は通常、従業員が退職する前に通知を受け取ることを好みますが、これは必須ではありません。

In Ireland, if you have been in continuous employment at the company for at least 13 weeks and intend to terminate a contract of employment, you have to give a week's notice.

動詞 promote 有以下幾種用法：

1. 當意思是「升遷」，常見的用法是：人 + be promoted to + 職位，例句：

If I'm not promoted within the next two years, I'm going to change jobs. 

2年で昇進しなかったら転職するつもりです。

Emily has just been promoted to senior sales rep. Who is going to take her place? 

エミリーは、シニアセールス担当者に昇進したばかりです。彼女の（今の）仕事は誰が引き継ぐの？

2. 當意思是「促銷」，用法是 promote + 產品，例句:

Advertising companies are always having to come up with new ways to promote products.

3. 當意思是「推廣」，例句:

Greenpeace works to promote awareness of the dangers that threaten our planet today.

4. 當意思是「促進」，例句:

名詞 promotion 有以下兩種中文解釋以及用法: (1) 升遷，常見的用法是：人 + get a promotion (2) 促銷活動。

1. Promotion = 升遷

常見的用法是：人 + get a promotion ，例句:

Did Mark get the promotion he wanted? 

マークは望んでいた昇進を得ましたか?

There was little chance for promotion within this company. 

社内での昇進の機会は多くありません。

Did you hear the news? Jim got that promotion he applied for. He's going to be the senior manager of Human Resources at the head office.

2. Promotion = 促銷活動

​相信大家經常看到 a sales promotion 這個字，例句:

The store is having a sales promotion with at least 50% off.

Retailers like Target and Best Buy launched Christmas promotions before Halloween.

Resign 是動詞，意思是「辭職」一般來說口語上我們會說 I quit my job，但如果想要用更正式一點的用法，我們可以說 I resigned from my company/job，resign 後面常常接 from。​

My father is sick and can no longer work full-time, so I suggest he resign from his job at the post office. 

父が病気でフルタイムで働けなくなったので、郵便局での仕事をやめるよう提案しました。

Giving two weeks' notice is the standard practice when resigning from a job, but in some cases, you may be required to give a month's notice. 

退職の際は 2 週間前に通知するのが一般的ですが、場合によっては 1 か月前に通知する必要があります。

If you want to resign from your job gracefully and professionally, write a formal resignation letter.
