動詞 rent 是指定期付費「租用」屬於別人的東西，像是租房子、公寓、汽車、機器設備、電視、相機，甚至是土地等等，租期長短通常會以「月」為單位(當然也有更短的，像是旅行時租車就會以「天」或是「週」為單位)。

為什麼要特別註明租期的單位呢？那是因為另外一個動詞 lease 翻成中文也是「租」的意思，乍看之下兩者差異不大，都是隔一段時間就要繳租金，但差別就在於「間隔」的長短。簡單的來說，rent 是指「每月」繳租，lease 大概就是「年繳」的概念。

Take out 的所有用法

3. Take out a loan or a mortgage (貸款): I want to take out a mortgage. (我想要申請房屋貸款)

Property 這個字和與其相關的對話(買房賣方、租房、和房產經紀人面談等等)在多益測驗出現的頻率相當高，根據不同解釋，property 有可數名詞和不可數名詞的用法喔。​
