Questions 17-20

Label the plan below.

Choose Write the correct letter A-G, next to questions 17-20. for each answer.
Westcombe Theatre - ground floor Ground floor plan of Westcombe Theatre for IELTS Listening Test 317 diagram-labelling questions. Westcombe Theatre - ground floor Back corridor Street entrance Foyer Main entrance Double doors A B C D E F G N
17 box office
18 the theatre manager's office
19 the lighting box
20 the artistic director's office

The correct answer is A because the box office is the small front-west room with its own street entrance, just left of the main foyer doors, which matches location A.

Associated Text:
You can see we're standing in the foyer here, and you've probably already noticed that the box office isn't actually inside the foyer. That's because, although it's part of the building, it has its own street entrance round the corner, so it's the small room you can see at the front west of the building, just to the left of the main foyer doors

The correct answer is C because the theatre manager's office is at the end of the back corridor in the far north-east corner, which matches location C.

Associated Text:
From the foyer, go across to the double doors at the back and walk through them. If you keep going to the corridor crossroads and turn right, the back corridor takes you right the way to the end of the building, where the theatre manager's office is in the far north east corner.

The correct answer is G because the lighting box is in the middle of the north wall at the back of the building, directly ahead at the back wall, which matches location G.

Associated Text:
From that same crossroads, if you carry straight on instead, you'll come to the lighting box at the back of the building, in the middle of the north wall. It has a window looking down into the auditorium below, the lighting designer sits up there and operates the show, and it's the room directly in front of you when you reach the back wall

The correct answer is E because the artistic director's office is on the right just after going through the double doors from the foyer, which matches location E.

Associated Text:
Back near the double doors, the artistic director's office is on your right just after you go through from the foyer, so you really can't miss it.
