Sample Essay

A good supervisor or a boss is a person who always supports one's team under any circumstances and leads his team towards success.

A good boss must therefore effectively manage the team by keeping it together at all times so that productive work can be extracted from the team. The supervisor must lead the team to achieve great heights and this can be done if the colleagues or co-workers work as a team. The boss should work on strengthening the bond between the team by taking them to team lunch or dinner or organizing weekend excursion trips.

In case of bad times, the boss must conquer the front seat and take position of the issues. The boss must take the ownership of the happenings and must quickly find a solution. He must talk to the team and take ideas before incorporating his own in order to resolve the issues. He must empower the team to make rapid decisions at times as these. During such time, it is only with the action of his boss that faith is restored on the team of coming out of the situation.

A good supervisor must always appreciate the work of his team and must take an extra step to reward and recognize the team by offering goodies or perks. This keeps the fire burning and builds a desire to work harder. The most important thing for a supervisor is to be a good listener. He should effectively listen and understand the problems of his subordinates.

Hence, a good supervisor must always think for the welfare of his team, and it is only with the co-ordinated effort put by the team that a boss achieves growth in the firm.
