Your paycheck is a piece of paper that your employer gives you as your wages or salary, and which you can then cash at a bank. You can also use paycheck as a way of referring to your wages or salary. The phrase "live paycheck to paycheck" means to spend all of the money from one paycheck before receiving the next paycheck.

The commission is the amount of money an employee earns when they sell something. A commission is also an order for someone to do something and get paid. Finally, a commission can mean a high-ranking position in the armed forces, or a special committee that controls or investigates something.
