Courier = a person or company that takes messages, letters, or parcels from one person or place to another (Countable Noun)

• Our courier can deliver the documents to you by the end of the day.
• The courier held out a delivery receipt and asked me to sign it.
• The courier has just delivered a package for you.
• For every parcel shipped through Supersender, you will receive a tracking number via e-mail once the service is confirmed with the courier.

When you damage something you hurt it in a way that makes it less valuable or useful. Damage can also be a noun.

Deliver = take goods, letters, parcels, etc. to people's houses or places of work (Verb)

• The furniture store is delivering our new bed on Thursday.
• The supermarket delivers groceries for free within 30 miles of the store.
• Online retailers such as Amazon and Etsy will gift-wrap items as requested which makes it a very convenient way to buy and deliver gifts to friends and loved ones.
• Our parcel will be delivered tomorrow morning.
• A shipment of free samples will arrive next week.
• Dear Mr. Smith, we are sorry to hear that your laptop notebook arrived in a damaged condition. A replacement will be delivered to your home on Thursday afternoon.

Delivery = the act of taking goods, letters, parcels, etc. to people's houses or places of work (Uncountable Noun)

• The delivery is scheduled for this morning.
• The company offers free delivery with orders over $100.
• We offer refrigerated delivery for food items.
• Good afternoon. I was calling to inquire about a delivery I am expecting for an order I placed online. It is for a refrigerator.
• Please enter the tracking or reference number to get your shipment status and obtain proof of delivery.

On delivery = when the good is delivered

Take delivery of = receive

if a restaurant or a shop do deliveries, it deliveries food or goods to the customer's home

Pickup = the act of picking someone or something up (Uncountable Noun)

• Now shop online and pick up your order from your local store without the wait or cost of shipping. Simply select your store, add items to your cart and select "contactless curbside pickup" at checkout. We'll notify you when your order is ready for pickup.
• Hello, this is Benjamin Corry. I'm calling to see if my prescription for glasses is ready for pickup.
• The Apple Store offers same-day service for some repairs, such as screen repair. If our technician needs to send your iPhone to an Apple Repair Center, you'll be notified when it's ready for pickup.

Pickup time

Shipment =  goods sent together to a place (Countable Noun)

• The factory just sent us a shipment.
• We will deliver the shipment tomorrow.
• A shipment of urgent medical supplies is expected to arrive very soon.
• The Russian military said it had destroyed a large shipment of Western-supplied weapons in northwestern Ukraine with long-range missiles. 
• Your order is on the way. Track your shipment to see the delivery status.

Shipment = the act of sending goods (Uncountable Noun)

• The goods are ready for shipment.
• Dozens of valuable works of art disappeared during shipment to the National Museum.

Definition: Make (an action or process) happen sooner or be accomplished more quickly

Example sentences:

• We'll do what we can to expedite the processing of your insurance claim.
• We are planning to relocate two factories in California to Los Angeles. Employment training workshops will be held next week in Los Angeles to expedite job placement.
