Sample Answer 1
These days, there are so many websites to choose from on the Internet that it can almost feel overwhelming. Of all of these options, I’d like to talk about a website which one of my former professors introduced me to called “Reddit.”

Reddit is, essentially, a social media website crossed with a news platform. However, unlike traditional social media sites, like Facebook or Twitter, Reddit allows its users to interact with each other and the content on the website almost completely anonymously. Users on Reddit typically do not post personal information that would reveal their identities. Instead, users post content to specific areas of the site, called “subreddits.” The subreddits are like clubs, and if you choose to join one, your Reddit homepage can become personalized to your own interests. For example, people can subscribe to subreddits like r/worldnews to learn about international news stories, or r/cooking to learn recipes.

The reason why I love Reddit is that I can vote on the content that I like. Users can “upvote” or “downvote” content based on its quality or relevance. So, I feel like I get my own fresh and personalized content each day, but also have some feeling of control over what I see. Plus, I feel more free posting things because I don’t need to worry about social pressures as much while I am anonymous.
