What is the difference between big companies and small companies?

Sample Answer 1
Well, I guess everything differs, from the sizes of the businesses to their organizational structures, all the way to communication and allocation of resources. For example, small companies mainly focus on a niche market, while big businesses tend to offer a variety of products and services worldwide. Smaller companies will be able to have more personal relationships with their customers and associates, while larger companies will focus more on expansion and growth. Overall, they are quite different.

Are there many big companies in your country?

Sample Answer 1
Yes, there quite a few big companies in my country. The biggest industries there are manufacturing and international shipping. For example, nearby where I grew up there are a few major bicycle manufacturers, like Giant and Merida. There aren’t, however, as many big companies in industries like technology or processed food. So, even though we have a few big companies, they are mostly in specific industries.

What are the good things about working for a big company?

Sample Answer 1
A big company can offer its employees some benefits that a smaller company would not be able to offer as easily. One example of a benefit that a big company can offer is being able to transfer to an office in another city, or even country, if the employee wants to move. Another advantage of working for a large company is the stability that they can offer, as they are less likely to have problems with paying employees on time or even trying to stay open. Those are a few of the reasons why working for a big company can be beneficial.

Should big companies be punished more seriously than small companies?

Sample Answer 1
Even though I think that it really depends on the circumstances as to why they are being punished, overall, I would say that they should face consequences that are relative to the damage that they do. For example, if a small company spills chemicals that pollute the water in an area, they should be punished for that, but obviously if a major oil company has an oil spill at 100 times the size, they should be punished more harshly. In the end, the punishment needs to fit the misdoing. Because, larger companies are probably going to end up with larger mistakes, they should be punished accordingly.

Why do some people choose to work at an international company?

Sample Answer 1
I think that’s because large international companies can give employees chances for big career opportunities. An international company, such as Sony, is a huge community with valuable social and professional networks, offering employees a way to grow their careers more effectively without changing jobs. For example, my friend who works at Sony has been able to meet people both in San Francisco, where she’s from, and in Tokyo, where she works now. So, for people like her, working for a international company is a way to develop professionally while working in interesting places all over the world.

Let’s move on to the topic of companies’ services. How can a company maintain the quality of the service that it gives to the public?

Sample Answer 1
A company can ensure that they maintain good quality service by taking a few vital steps. First of all, the company should have a hiring process in place which only allows people who have the right personality to provide good customer service to be hired, like people who are friendly and polite. Secondly, the company should pay attention to their training techniques to see that the employees that they hire are prepared to give good service in different situations. Last, the company should have a policy in place for how to handle situations of customer dissatisfaction, like how to give refunds to angry customers. As a company grows, they’ll need to make sure they take steps towards maintaining good quality service.

Do you think it's important for a company to provide after-sales service?

Sample Answer 1
Absolutely, because by providing clients with after sales service companies, companies will get several benefits. First, they will have truly satisfied customers. Happy customers leads to referrals, repeated orders and endorsement, which are things that every business needs. On top of that, satisfied customers will likely continue giving positive feedback about their products and services. This builds customer loyalty and retains existing customers, but can also attract new ones through word of mouth. After-sales services will help a business in a few ways.
