Sample Answer 1
Throughout our time as students, we will have many different teachers. While some of the teachers we meet might not be our favorites, others can leave a very positive impression on us, or even change our lives for the better. Today, I’d like to tell you about my Chinese teacher in university, who was the greatest teacher I ever had.

My Chinese teacher had already been a professor at the university for 12 years when I met her my final year of university, which would have made me about 21 at the time. She had plenty of experience teaching students Chinese for the first time, which was lucky for me, because Chinese was a very difficult language for me to learn when I first started.

To learn Chinese, students have to practice tones, vocabulary and grammar, while also learning how to read and write using Chinese characters. But my Chinese teacher always had a trick to help us remember a new word, like a funny story, or a lesson that would help us remember a new grammar point, like a clip from a TV show. She genuinely cared about us learning her language, and she was very passionate about teaching it to us. I think that her enthusiasm, experience, and creativity combined are probably what made her the best teacher I ever had.
