If a movie makes a lot of money, we can say that the movie is a box office hit or a box office success. On the other hand, if a movie doesn't make a lot of money, we can say that the movie is a box office flop, a box office bomb, or a box office failure
- This film was a huge box office hit.
- “Space Jam 2” might be a box office bomb.
- There has been a significant bounce-back for the global box office this year. According to CNBC, box office successes like Top Gun: Maverick and The Batman indicate that the streaming wars have not buried moviegoing entirely.
