Lesley-ann Green is an English educator based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and an IELTS and TOEFL Instructor at BestMyTest.
Since October 2017 she has taught and guided IELTS and TOEFL learners at BestMyTest across reading, listening, speaking and writing. She writes the site's IELTS and TOEFL study guides, explains the strategies behind each question type, and answers learners' questions as they prepare. She also reviews the writing that learners submit through BestMyTest mock examinations, giving each one a score and specific, personal feedback on what to fix before test day.
Alongside her work at BestMyTest, Lesley-ann has a long career in secondary education. She was Head of Department at Haythorne Secondary School from 2014 to 2021, and since 2021 she has served as Deputy Chief Invigilator for the school's Grade 12 final examinations. From 2022 to 2023 she also taught English, Business English and science subjects online for Proximity Learning.
She trained as a teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of South Africa, holds an IELTS teacher certificate, and in 2026 completed an Advanced TEFL Certificate.
